Animated ‘Moosa' on trouble

Animated movie 'C I D Moosa 007' which was released recently at Kochi is in trouble, following a case of copyright violation. The movie which is based on the 2003 Dileep hit 'C I D Moosa', has taken liberally the character sketches of various roles from the original.
Directed by Binu Sashidharan and scripted by Muralikrishnan, the movie was the first of its kind in Malayalam to be made as a sequel of a film. The makers dubbed the animated characters with the support of mimicry artists, who imitated the original actors.
But now Dileep, the producer of original ‘Moosa’, is planning to go to court against the makers of animated movie, alleging infringement of copy right act.
