HC judge V Giri resigns

KOCHI: Kerala High Court Judge Justice V Giri yesterday resigned citing "personal reasons". He sent his resignation letter to the President.
Justice Giri (49) met High Court Chief Justice S R Bannurmath yesterday morning and informed him about the decision, court sources said.
Giri has requested the President to accept the resignation with immediate effect, they said.
Sworn-in as an additional judge on Aug 1, 2007, Justice Giri, a lawyer, became a permanent judge only on April 6 this year.
