Holiday declared in three assembly segments

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has declared a holiday in the three assembly segments going to polls on November 7.
By-polls are to be held in Kannur, Alappuzha and Ernakulam, the three seats vacated by MLAs who had been elected to the Lok Sabha.
The Labour Commissioner had been instructed to ensure that private and industrial firms gave leave to their employees with salary, an official press release here said.
