North-east monsoon active over Kerala

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: North-east monsoon has been active over Kerala. Rain occurred at many places in Kerala and isolated places in Lakshadweep.
According to meteorology sources here, Thiruvananthapuram city reported a very heavy rainfall of 8 cm.
The other chief amounts of rainfall in cm are Thiruvananthapuram airport 6, Punalur and Varkala 4 each.
Harippad; Nedumangad-- 3 each. Kollam; Kottayam; Cherthalai-- 2 each.
Aalappuzha recorded the maximum temperature of 21 degree celsius.
Forecast valid until the morning of November 8 rain or thunder showers will occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Heavy rainfall warning: Very to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in south Kerala and isolated heavy rainfall in north Kerala and Lakshadweep during next 48 hours.
Fishermen warning: Strong onshore winds from westernly direction speed occasionally reaching 45-50 KMPH along off Kerala coast and Lakshadweep area during next 48 hours.
